From January 1, 2027, the Amex Platinum’s $600 hotel credit only pays out on Fine Hotels + Resorts stays of two nights or more. JetBlue went the other way and will upgrade every Mosaic member to BlueFirst for free, and Delta’s Reserve Business card pays 200,000 miles if you apply by November 4.
Below is every deal, deadline and rule change TravelPointsPro tracked from October 18 to October 24, each one linked to its source. Seventeen deadlines fall between today and November 5, and 13 of them close by October 31, so start with the table.
The short version
- The Amex Platinum hotel credit requires a two-night minimum at Fine Hotels + Resorts from January 1, 2027. Book any one-night stays you planned for the credit before then.
- Delta’s Reserve Business card pays 200,000 miles after $20,000 of spend in 6 months, through November 4. That’s about $1,990 of value after the $650 fee, at 1.2 cents a mile.
- JetBlue Mosaic members and Premier cardholders get free space-available BlueFirst upgrades, cleared 60 minutes before departure, starting with the first BlueFirst flight on December 8.
- Eight deals end on October 30 or 31, including United’s 100% buy-miles bonus and Amex’s 25% bonus to Flying Blue.
- The Southwest Plus card pays 80,000 points through a public link until December 2, the last approval date that still counts a welcome bonus toward the 2027 Companion Pass.

Two longer bonuses started this week too. Capital One miles transfer to Virgin Atlantic at 1:1.3 through November 20, and Amex points go to Marriott at 1:1.35 through December 10. We’d use the Virgin bonus for a seat you’ve already found and skip the Marriott one, since it turns 2-cent Amex points into hotel points worth about 0.95 cents per Amex point.
New & elevated card offers
- The Delta Reserve Business card leads at 200,000 miles. Delta’s page says you “Earn 200,000 bonus miles after you make $20,000 in eligible purchases” in the first 6 months. The Platinum Business pays 100,000 after $8,000 and the Gold Business 90,000 after $6,000, all through November 4.
- Capital One’s Venture X Business pays 150,000 miles after $40,000 in 4 months, then another 150,000 miles and a $1,000 travel credit after $120,000 in total. The fee is $395, and Capital One lists no end date.
- Alaska’s Atmos Rewards Summit card pays 100,000 points plus a 25,000-point Global Companion Award after $6,000 in 90 days, with a $395 fee (Alaska). The Atmos business card is up to 85,000 points (Frequent Miler).
- Chase’s Southwest Rapid Rewards Plus card pays 80,000 points after $1,000 in 3 months through a public link, with a $99 fee and a December 2 deadline (Doctor of Credit). Chase’s own Southwest Plus page still shows 50,000. Our Companion Pass post explains why December 2 matters.
- Discover it pays $200 after $500 of spend in 3 months, and another $100 if you apply through a referral link. Its first-year cash back match comes on top (Doctor of Credit).
Devaluations & program changes
- Amex Platinum’s hotel credit gets a two-night minimum. The Platinum page now says Fine Hotels + Resorts “bookings will require a minimum two-night stay to be eligible for the $600 Hotel Credit” from January 1, 2027. Two-night Airbnb Luxe stays booked through Amex Travel count toward it, and Platinum cards earn 5X on Airbnb bookings made there.
- From February 17, 2027, the Amex Business Platinum narrows two perks. 2X on shipping covers only seven companies, including UPS, FedEx and USPS, and the $10 monthly wireless credit covers 11 named carriers (Amex terms). The same card added a free ZO coworking membership on October 22.
- On the same date, the Amex Business Gold’s 4X categories shrink to 17 named merchants: six ad platforms and 11 wireless carriers.
- JetBlue will upgrade every Mosaic member to BlueFirst for free, space available, plus one companion (JetBlue). The rest of the 2027 Mosaic changes start February 1, 2027.
- Hilton now lets elite members pay hotel bills with points in the app at 150 U.S. hotels, with more than 6,000 in the U.S. and Canada planned for early 2027 (Hilton).
- Bilt added JetBlue TrueBlue as a 1:1 transfer partner on October 20, with no launch bonus.
- British Airways raises the tier points needed for Silver and Gold from April 1, 2027 (Upgraded Points). Delta said its Medallion requirements won’t change in 2027 (Frequent Miler).

What to watch next week
Eleven deadlines land between October 29 and October 31, so make any Aeroplan, United or Southwest points purchase for a trip you’ve already found by Thursday night. The Delta Reserve Business offer and the IHG and JetBlue points sales follow on November 4 and 5.
JetBlue’s senior creditors have hired advisers, and its 2031 notes fell to 42 cents on the dollar this week, per One Mile at a Time. JetBlue told reporters it still expects its JetForward plan to return it to profit. Until that settles, we’d transfer points to TrueBlue only for a seat you’re booking that day, and skip the 120% points sale unless you have a booking in hand.
The bottom line
The Delta Reserve Business offer is the week’s strongest deal for a business that spends $3,333 a month anyway. The 200,000-mile bonus plus 20,000 miles from the spend comes to 220,000 miles, about $2,640 at 1.2 cents a mile, or roughly $1,990 after the $650 fee. If you’d have to carry a balance or pay fees to reach $20,000, skip it.
Amex Platinum holders should book any one-night Fine Hotels + Resorts stays they planned for the credit before January 1, 2027. After that date, the same $600 requires at least two nights per booking, which suits weekend trips better than work stopovers.
