Chase’s World of Hyatt card now pays 4 free nights at any Category 1 to 4 Hyatt hotel after you spend $5,000 in the first 3 months. The annual fee is $95. Category 4 nights cost up to 25,000 points each under Hyatt’s new chart, so the 4 nights replace up to 100,000 points, about $1,600 at our 1.6-cent World of Hyatt valuation.

The deal

  • Offer: 4 Free Night Awards at Category 1 to 4 Hyatt hotels and resorts.
  • Spend: $5,000 on purchases in the first 3 months from account opening.
  • Annual fee: $95, per Chase’s pricing and terms, with no foreign transaction fee.
  • Dates: Chase labels it a limited-time offer and gives no end date.
  • Ongoing perks: a Category 1 to 4 free night each year after your cardmember anniversary, another after $15,000 in calendar-year spending, and 5 tier qualifying night credits a year.
  • Earning: 4 bonus points per dollar at Hyatt, or up to 9 points per dollar with your member points. You also get 2 points per dollar at restaurants, airlines, local transit and gyms.
  • Direct link: the Chase application page.

Key terms

  • Where the nights work: each award is “valid for one (1) night in any available standard room within 12 months from issuance,” per Chase’s offer details. It covers Category 1 to 4 hotels.
  • Excluded resorts: the awards don’t work at Miraval, Hyatt Zilara or Hyatt Ziva properties.
  • Who qualifies: current World of Hyatt cardholders aren’t eligible. Past cardholders who earned a new cardmember bonus on this card in the last 24 months are out too.
  • What counts as spending: purchases only. Balance transfers, cash advances, money orders and fees don’t count.
  • Chase 5/24: Chase usually declines anyone who opened 5 or more personal cards in the last 24 months. Our best travel credit cards guide explains the rule.

What the 4 nights are worth

Hyatt still publishes a fixed award chart. In its February announcement, Hyatt said the chart would expand “from three to five redemption levels within each of its existing eight categories” starting in May. Frequent Miler reports that Category 4 nights now cost up to 25,000 points at the top level. Our Hyatt award price breakdown has the older Category 1 to 4 range of 3,500 to 18,000 points.

How you use the 4 nights Points each night Points replaced Value at 1.6 cents
Category 4 at Hyatt’s top level 25,000 100,000 $1,600
Top of the older Category 1 to 4 range 18,000 72,000 $1,152
Category 1 at its older lowest price 3,500 14,000 $224

The certificates pay off at the top of their range. Four cheap Category 1 nights replace about $224 of points, far less than the Chase Sapphire Preferred bonus is worth. Chase’s Sapphire Preferred page shows 75,000 points for the same $5,000 in 3 months and the same $95 fee. Those 75,000 points move to Hyatt at 4:3 and become 56,250 Hyatt points, as our Chase to Hyatt transfer post explains.

Frequent Miler notes that the early 2026 offer paid 3 nights after $5,000, plus 2 more after $15,000 in 6 months. This offer pays one fewer night for $10,000 less spending. One Mile at a Time also covers the new offer.

Our take

We’d apply if you’re under 5/24 and already know four nights at Category 3 or 4 hotels you’d book in the next year. Use all four at 18,000-point hotels and you get about $1,152 of free nights for a $95 fee, a net of about $1,057. After year one, the anniversary night at a Category 3 or 4 hotel is usually worth more than the $95 fee. If a partner holds Hyatt points, they can now send them to you online, as our Hyatt points transfer post explains.

Skip it if your trips run to Category 1 or 2 hotels, or if you won’t travel in the 12 months after the nights post. Unused certificates are worth nothing. Get the Sapphire Preferred first if you’ve never had one. Chase points also move to United, Southwest and other partners, and our points valuation guide prices them at about 2.05 cents each.
