Hilton Will Pay You 1,000 to 3,000 Points a Stay This Fall. Register Before You Check Out.

Hilton Honors launched a fall promotion called More Points to Play on September 17, 2026. Registered members earn 3,000 bonus points per stay at luxury, lifestyle and resort properties and 1,000 bonus points per stay everywhere else in the portfolio. It applies to stays completed between October 15 and December 31, 2026, and registration has to happen before you check out.

The short version

  • 3,000 bonus points per stay at luxury, lifestyle and resort hotels.

  • 1,000 bonus points per stay at every other participating Hilton property.

  • Stays have to finish between October 15 and December 31, 2026.

  • No minimum night count, and Hilton sets no cap on total bonus points.

  • Award stays qualify. Bonus points do not count toward elite tier qualification.

How much is this promotion worth?

Run the numbers before you rearrange anything. Hilton Honors points trade at roughly half a cent each in practical use, so 1,000 bonus points is about $5 and 3,000 bonus points is about $15. Five weekend stays at ordinary Hilton Garden Inns produce 5,000 bonus points, worth somewhere near $25. That is a rounding error on a hotel bill, and it is why this promotion is worth thirty seconds of registration rather than a change of plans.

Hilton's terms set the split plainly. Registered members earn "3,000 Bonus Points on Luxury, Lifestyle, and Resort stays, and 1,000 Bonus Points on stays at any other property." No spending threshold appears anywhere in the offer.

What counts as a stay?

Hilton Honors counts a stay as consecutive nights at one property, whether that is one night or six. A three-night run at a Hampton Inn pays the same 1,000 bonus points as a single night there. Anyone chasing volume splits trips across properties rather than extending one, though the gain per split is 1,000 points and the hassle is real.

Award stays qualify, which is the unusually generous part. Book a free night with points during the window and Hilton still pays the bonus.

Where does the 3,000-point tier apply?

The higher Hilton Honors tier covers luxury, lifestyle and resort brands, which is where Waldorf Astoria, Conrad, LXR, Canopy and the all-inclusive properties sit. A Conrad night and a Hampton Inn night both count as one stay, and one pays triple the other. If your fall calendar has any flexibility between a resort and a roadside property at similar prices, the resort is now worth about $10 more.

How do you register?

Registration for Hilton Honors More Points to Play happens on the Hilton offer page and takes one click while signed in. Hilton requires registration before check-out, not before booking, so a trip already on the books still qualifies. Register today even with nothing planned. It costs nothing and it removes the chance of forgetting in November.

Hilton says bonus points take six to eight weeks after a completed stay to post. Do not panic in January.

What this means for you

Register, then forget about it. This promotion is a small rebate on stays you were making anyway, and treating it as a reason to book Hilton over a cheaper or better-located competitor is how people lose money chasing points. A $40 nightly premium to collect $5 of bonus points is a bad trade every time.

The one real decision it creates is brand choice inside Hilton. If a Conrad and a Hilton Garden Inn are close on price for the same trip, the 2,000-point gap nudges the luxury side. FAQ

When do I have to register for More Points to Play?

Hilton Honors requires registration before you check out of an eligible stay. Booking earlier is fine. A stay completed before you register earns nothing.

Is there a cap on bonus points?

No. Hilton Honors sets no limit on total bonus points earned during the More Points to Play promotion period, so ten qualifying stays pay ten bonuses.

Do award stays count?

Yes. Hilton Honors counts reward stays toward More Points to Play as long as the stay is completed inside the October 15 to December 31, 2026 window.

What if I check in before October 15?

Hilton Honors pays the bonus as long as the stay is completed on or after October 15, 2026 and on or before December 31, 2026. A check-in on October 13 with check-out on October 16 qualifies.

Do these bonus points help me reach Gold or Diamond?

No. Hilton Honors bonus points from More Points to Play do not count toward elite tier qualification. They land in your balance and nothing else.
