Wyndham Rewards is running a 100% bonus on point transfers to United MileagePlus. The usual 5:1 ratio becomes 5:2, so 6,000 Wyndham points turn into 2,400 United miles.
Even doubled, you give up slightly more value than you get. Use it to finish a specific United award, or to rescue Wyndham points you would otherwise let expire.
The short version
- Ratio: 5:2 with the bonus, up from 5:1. A 6,000-point transfer gives 2,400 United miles.
- Limits: 6,000 points minimum, 90,000 maximum, which comes out to 36,000 United miles.
- Value: 6,000 Wyndham points are worth about $34 at 0.57 cents each. The 2,400 United miles are worth about $31 at 1.3 cents.
- Wyndham says miles can take 6 to 8 weeks to post, and transfers cannot be cancelled.
- No end date is published. Frequent Miler reported the bonus on October 8, 2026.
How does the Wyndham to United transfer bonus work?
The Wyndham Rewards transfer bonus doubles the United MileagePlus miles you get for each block of 6,000 Wyndham points. Normally 6,000 points buy 1,200 United miles. During the bonus they buy 2,400. You start the transfer on Wyndham’s travel points page while logged in, and the bonus shows up when you pick United.
Wyndham’s page says “Starting at 6,000 points. Transfer up to 90,000 points.” Wyndham sells the transfer in blocks of 6,000, and Frequent Miler reports that each transaction is calculated on its own, with no combining of separate transfers.
Two warnings from the same Wyndham page:
- “Partner point redemptions will be deposited directly into your United MileagePlus Miles account within 6-8 weeks.” Frequent Miler says past transfers usually landed in 2 to 4 days, but do not count on that for an award with limited seats.
- Transfers “cannot be cancelled once your order is placed.”
There is no registration step and no published end date. Wyndham ran the same bonus in August 2023, August and September 2024, and fall 2025.
Is the Wyndham to United bonus a good deal?
The Wyndham to United bonus loses a little value on paper. Our Wyndham valuation puts Wyndham Rewards points at 0.57 cents. At that price, 6,000 points are worth about $34. Frequent Miler values United miles at 1.3 cents, so the 2,400 miles you get back are worth about $31.
| Transfer | Wyndham points in | Value in | United miles out | Value out |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Smallest | 6,000 | About $34 | 2,400 | About $31 |
| Largest | 90,000 | About $513 | 36,000 | About $468 |
Valuations are averages, though. A Wyndham point is worth more on a 5,000-point or 15,000-point night at a pricey hotel, and less if you never book Wyndham at all.
Three cases where the transfer makes sense:
- You found a United award and you are a few thousand miles short.
- Your Wyndham points are close to expiring. Frequent Miler says they expire after 18 months with no activity, or 4 years after you earn them.
- You rarely stay at Wyndham hotels and would rather fly.
If you stay at a Wyndham property even once a year, keep the points.
Can you move Capital One miles to United through Wyndham?
Capital One miles move 1:1 to Wyndham Rewards, according to Capital One’s transfer partner page, which lists “Choice Privileges and Wyndham Rewards, which offer a 1:1 conversion ratio.” Capital One has no United partnership. With this bonus, you could send 2.5 Capital One miles through Wyndham for each United mile.
Do not do it. The same Capital One page lists Air Canada Aeroplan among its airline partners, and “most offer a 1:1 conversion ratio.” Aeroplan books United flights as a Star Alliance partner. Going through Aeroplan gives you one mile per Capital One mile instead of 0.4.
How do you earn Wyndham points for this?
Wyndham Rewards points mostly come from Wyndham stays and the Barclays co-branded cards. The Wyndham Rewards Earner Plus card costs $95 a year and offers up to 100,000 bonus points. It also earns 6x at Wyndham hotels and 4x on dining, grocery and travel, and pays 15,000 points each year after you pay the fee.
The Earner Business card costs $149 and also offers up to 100,000 points. Wyndham’s cardmember perks page says cardholders get 10% to 25% off award nights, which pushes the value of a Wyndham point higher. That is one more reason to spend them on hotels.
What this means for you
Open your United account and price the trip first. If an award is 2,400 to 36,000 miles short and you have Wyndham points you will not use on a hotel, transfer the exact amount you need. If you have Capital One miles, skip Wyndham and use Aeroplan. If you are new to transfer bonuses, our transfer bonus guide explains when one is worth chasing.

The bottom line
