Alaska Airlines’ Atmos Rewards program is running a Global Getaways award sale to six cities in Europe and Asia until October 10, 2026. One-way economy awards start at 20,000 points to Seoul, 25,000 to Paris, Munich and Helsinki, and 30,000 to Sapporo and Stavanger. Travel has to fall between January 15 and March 8, 2027.
The short version
- Book by October 10, 2026. Alaska does not state a clock time, so do not wait for the evening.
- Travel window: January 15 to March 8, 2027.
- Seoul from 20,000 points one-way, Helsinki, Munich and Paris from 25,000, Sapporo and Stavanger from 30,000.
- Economy only, on flights starting or ending in the U.S.
- Partner flights add a $20 award fee each way, and partner taxes can top $100 each way.
What is on sale in Atmos Rewards Global Getaways?
Atmos Rewards Global Getaways is Alaska Airlines’ October Members Day award sale, launched October 7, 2026. The Alaska newsroom announcement says members “can save up to 50% on award travel to Helsinki, Munich, Paris, Sapporo, Seoul and Stavanger.” All prices below are one-way economy starting prices from the Global Getaways page.
| Destination | One-way from |
|---|---|
| Seoul (ICN) | 20,000 points |
| Helsinki (HEL) | 25,000 points |
| Munich (MUC) | 25,000 points |
| Paris (CDG) | 25,000 points |
| Sapporo (CTS) | 30,000 points |
| Stavanger (SVG) | 30,000 points |
The fine print matters. Alaska says the pricing covers “select flights originating or ending in the United States on Alaska, Hawaiian and global partners, in Economy class only.” The starting prices are examples Alaska saw in the past 24 hours, so your city pair and dates set the real price. No business class is on sale.
Is 20,000 points to Seoul a good deal?
Seoul at 20,000 Atmos Rewards points one-way is the standout of the six. Alaska flies Seattle to Seoul nonstop itself, a route it launched with a Hawaiian 787, and that flight carries only small taxes. On a partner airline, the same 5,000-plus-mile trip starts at 37,500 points in economy on the Atmos partner award chart.
So 20,000 points is close to half price, which is where the “up to 50%” headline comes from. A round trip at 40,000 points, in late winter, is a good use of points if Korea was already on your list.
The Europe prices are a smaller win. From the East Coast, Paris or Munich is roughly 3,600 to 4,100 miles, which the partner chart prices from 27,500 points. Paying 25,000 saves you about 9%. From the West Coast, where the chart starts at 35,000, the same 25,000 saves closer to 29%. Sapporo and Stavanger at 30,000 are modest discounts at best.
Which airlines fly these Atmos Rewards awards?
Atmos Rewards Global Getaways awards run on Alaska, Hawaiian and Alaska’s partner airlines, and Alaska does not name which partner flies each city. Seoul has Alaska’s own nonstop from Seattle. Alaska’s own Seattle to Paris nonstop does not start until May 25, 2027, so every Paris trip in this window flies a partner.
The Atmos partner airlines list includes Finnair, the likely carrier to Helsinki, plus Japan Airlines and Icelandair for connections toward Sapporo and Stavanger. Treat those as educated guesses until the search results show the flight.
Partner flights cost more in cash. The Global Getaways terms say partner taxes “can exceed $100 per person, each way,” and the award chart adds a “non-refundable partner award fee of $20.00 (USD) each way” that the Atmos Rewards Summit card waives.
How do you book the Global Getaways sale?
Booking Atmos Rewards Global Getaways works like any Alaska award. Search on alaskaair.com or hawaiianairlines.com, select “use points,” and the sale price shows in the results with no code. Atmos Rewards membership is free, and the sale has no status or card requirement.
A few habits help:
- Search from your home airport first, then try Seattle and Los Angeles, where Alaska’s network is deepest.
- Check one-way trips separately. The sale prices are per direction.
- Use the free stopover. Atmos allows one stopover of up to 14 days on an eligible international one-way.
If you are short on points, the October Members Day page also lists a bonus on purchased points. Run the math against our guide to what points are worth before you buy.
What this means for you
You have until October 10. If Seoul between mid-January and early March appeals, search tonight and book. At 20,000 points each way, it costs about half the partner chart price. For Europe, compare the sale price against the normal partner chart for your origin city before you get excited, since East Coast travelers save only about 2,500 points. Families should also look at the new Atmos Rewards Communities, which tie bonus challenges to Seoul and Helsinki.
FAQ
When does the Atmos Rewards Global Getaways sale end?
The Atmos Rewards Global Getaways sale ends October 10, 2026. Alaska Airlines says members “must book by Oct. 10 for travel between Jan. 15 and March 8, 2027.” Alaska does not publish a cutoff time, so book earlier in the day.
Can I book business class in the Global Getaways sale?
No. Alaska Airlines limits Atmos Rewards Global Getaways pricing to economy class on flights starting or ending in the United States.
Do I need an Alaska credit card for the Atmos Rewards sale?
No. Any Atmos Rewards member qualifies for Global Getaways pricing, and membership is free. The Atmos Rewards Summit card does waive the $20 partner award fee each way.
What are the taxes on Atmos Rewards Global Getaways awards?
Taxes on Atmos Rewards Global Getaways awards depend on the airline. Flights on Alaska or Hawaiian carry low fees, while Alaska says partner itineraries can exceed $100 per person each way, plus a $20 partner award fee.
The bottom line
Seoul at 20,000 points is the deal worth acting on before October 10. The Europe prices are fine, rarely great, and worth booking only if your dates and origin city price out well.
