World of Hyatt Globalist takes 60 tier-qualifying nights in one calendar year. Enter the nights already in your account, your Hyatt card spending and the stays you've planned. The planner shows where you'll land by December 31, the month you'll cross 60 nights, the Milestone Rewards you'll pick up and the cheapest way to close any gap. It counts each card credit once, so credits already in your account never get counted twice.

Milestone Rewards on your plan
Hyatt pays each milestone once per calendar year, and card credits count toward them. Hyatt dropped American Airlines for Delta in September 2026, so the American choices apply only to 2026 milestones, for members who link accounts by November 15, 2026. The Delta partnership hasn't added any milestone choices yet (our post on the switch).

Reaching Globalist: what it takes and what it's worth
Show the math
Adjust cost assumptions
On Palladium and Obsidian, $200 of Bilt Cash adds 1 point per $1 on the next $5,000 of everyday spend, up to five times a year (Bilt's terms). It needs card earning set to 4% back in Bilt Cash, so each $5,000 of spend earns the $200 for the next activation. The planner applies the extra point to the first $25,000 of spending you'd move.

Customize benefit values
With this ticked, the assessment uses your numbers instead of our ranges, even after you close this panel. Benefits you left unticked in question 3 still count as $0. Value a Suite Upgrade Award only for what a confirmed suite adds, since the per-night upgrade value already covers suites you'd get when one is open.

How the planner counts nights
- Globalist takes 60 tier-qualifying nights in a calendar year. Explorist takes 30 nights and Discoverist takes 10 nights.
- Paid and award nights both earn 1 night credit per night. You earn night credit for one room per night, even when you book more than one room.
- Stays count in the year you check out. A stay from December 29 to January 2 adds 4 nights to the new year. Hyatt merges back-to-back reservations at the same hotel, so to keep December nights in the old year, check out of one hotel on December 31 and into another.
- The personal card adds 5 night credits each calendar year you hold it, plus 2 night credits per $5,000 spent. If this year's 5 credits already show in your account, tick the box so they aren't counted twice.
- The business card adds 5 night credits per $10,000 spent in a calendar year. The count starts over each January 1.
- Card credits post up to 8 weeks after the month you cross a spending mark, but they count toward the year you spent the money. The planner spreads your planned spend evenly over the months left. Card spending earns night credits, never base points.
- Transferred points book award nights, and those nights count, but the transfer itself earns no night credit. Chase Sapphire Reserve and Sapphire Reserve for Business transfer to Hyatt at 1:1, while Sapphire Preferred and Ink Business Preferred transfer at 4:3. Every Bilt card (Blue, Obsidian and Palladium) transfers at 1:1 through December 31, 2026 and at 4:3 from January 1, 2027.
- Guest of Honor awards you gift earn you 1 night credit each, whatever the length of the stay.
- Milestone Rewards start at 20 nights and repeat every 10 nights up to 150 nights. Card credits count toward them.
- The value check compares Globalist with the status your plan reaches anyway. It uses typical value ranges for the hotels you pick, counts only the benefits you'd use, and adds the Milestone Rewards you'd only reach by chasing 60 nights. Open "Customize benefit values" to use your own numbers.
FAQ
How many nights do you need for Hyatt Globalist?
You need 60 tier-qualifying nights in one calendar year. Hyatt also grants Globalist for 100,000 base points, but nights and base points don't combine. Explorist takes 30 nights and Discoverist takes 10 nights.
Do award nights count toward Hyatt Globalist?
Yes. Each award night earns 1 tier-qualifying night, the same as a paid night. Nights booked with a free night certificate count too. Bookings through third-party sites such as Expedia earn no night credit.
Does the World of Hyatt Credit Card count toward Globalist?
Yes. The card adds 5 tier-qualifying nights each calendar year, plus 2 night credits for every $5,000 you spend. The first 5 credits post within 8 weeks of opening the account, then each January. The card also gives you Discoverist status, but the status itself doesn't add 10 nights to your count.
Which year does a stay over New Year's count toward?
The year you check out. Hyatt credits every night of a stay on the check-out date, so a stay from December 29 to January 2 adds 4 nights to the new year. Hyatt merges back-to-back reservations at the same hotel. If you need the December nights in the old year, check out of one hotel on December 31 and into another.
What do you get at 60 nights with Hyatt?
Globalist status plus the 60-night Milestone Reward: 2 Guest of Honor awards, 2 Suite Upgrade Awards, a Category 1-7 free night and My Hyatt Concierge. Hyatt gives you all four, with no choice to make.
Do card night credits count toward Milestone Rewards?
Yes. Chase says the credits count toward World of Hyatt status and Milestone Rewards. With 45 nights of stays and 15 card credits, you reach the 60-night milestone (45 + 15 = 60).
Do Guest of Honor stays count toward your own status?
Yes. You earn 1 tier-qualifying night for each Guest of Honor award you gift, once your guest checks out. A 5-night stay still earns you 1 night. Guest of Honor awards come from Milestone Rewards at 40 nights and up.
Which credit cards transfer points to World of Hyatt, and at what ratio?
Only two programs transfer to World of Hyatt: Chase Ultimate Rewards and Bilt Rewards. American Express, Citi and Capital One points don't.
| Card | Through Sept 30, 2026 | Oct 1 to Dec 31, 2026 | From Jan 1, 2027 |
|---|---|---|---|
| Chase Sapphire Reserve and Sapphire Reserve for Business | 1:1 | 1:1 | 1:1 |
| Chase Sapphire Preferred, approved before June 15, 2026 | 1:1 | 4:3 | 4:3 |
| Chase Sapphire Preferred, approved on or after June 15, 2026 | 4:3 | 4:3 | 4:3 |
| Chase Ink Business Preferred, Ink Plus and Corporate Flex | 1:1 | 4:3 | 4:3 |
| Bilt Blue, Bilt Obsidian and Bilt Palladium | 1:1 | 1:1 | 4:3 |
- What 4:3 costs you: 1,000 points become 750 Hyatt points (1,000 × 3 ÷ 4 = 750). A 15,000-point award night takes 20,000 points instead of 15,000.
- Chase points pool: Chase lets you combine points across your own cards. If you hold a Sapphire Preferred and a Sapphire Reserve, move the points to the Reserve and transfer at 1:1. Points from a Freedom Unlimited, Freedom Flex, Ink Business Cash or Ink Business Unlimited transfer through the Sapphire or Ink Preferred you hold, at that card's rate.
- Bilt timing: the 1:1 rate covers transfers completed by December 31, 2026. The minimum transfer is 2,000 Bilt Points, and transfers usually land within minutes.
- Status: a transfer earns no night credits. Award nights you book with the points count like any other night.
Chase announced its change with the Sapphire Preferred refresh on June 15, 2026, and it hasn't announced any change to the Reserve cards' 1:1 rate. Our posts on the Chase change and the Bilt change have the details.
How long does Hyatt Globalist status last?
Status lasts through February of the second calendar year after you earn it. Reach Globalist in 2026 and you keep it through February 2028.
The planner uses Hyatt's and Chase's published rules as of October 10, 2026.
