Chase Ultimate Rewards is giving a 30% bonus on transfers to British Airways, Iberia and Aer Lingus through December 1, 2026. Every 10,000 Chase points you move becomes 13,000 Avios instead of 10,000. On an Iberia business class seat from Dallas to Madrid we found for December 10, the bonus cuts the cost from 51,000 Chase points to 39,000.
The deal
- Offer: 30% bonus on transfers from Chase Ultimate Rewards, so 1,000 Chase points become 1,300 Avios.
- Programs: British Airways Club, Iberia Plus and Aer Lingus AerClub. All three use Avios.
- Dates: November 1, 2026 at 12:00 a.m. ET through December 1, 2026 at 11:59 p.m. ET, per One Mile at a Time.
- Normal rate: 1:1 once the bonus ends.
- Who can transfer: holders of the Chase Sapphire Preferred, Chase Sapphire Reserve or Ink Business Preferred. Points from a Freedom card move to one of those cards first.
- Where: the Transfer to Travel Partners page inside your Chase account.
Key terms
- Transfers: Chase says, “With Chase Sapphire Preferred®, you can transfer your points to leading frequent travel programs,” on its Sapphire Preferred page.
- Bonus window: the bonus applies to transfers made between November 1 and December 1, 2026, per Doctor of Credit.
- Increments: Chase transfers in blocks of 1,000 points, so you round your transfer up to the next 1,000.
- Timing: transfers to the Avios programs usually post right away, per One Mile at a Time’s Chase transfer times guide.
- No undo: points you send to an airline stay there. Chase won’t move them back.
- Past transfers: a transfer you made before November 1 doesn’t earn the bonus after the fact.
A business class seat to Madrid for 39,000 Chase points
On November 1, 2026, a seats.aero search showed Iberia flight IB364 from Dallas to Madrid on December 10 in business class. It priced at 50,500 Avios plus €120.06 in taxes and fees through Iberia Plus, which is about $134 at XE’s November 1 rate. It’s a nonstop flight of 9 hours 20 minutes, and seats.aero showed 1 seat left.
| Dallas to Madrid in Iberia business | Without the bonus (1:1) | With the 30% bonus |
|---|---|---|
| Avios needed | 50,500 Avios | 50,500 Avios |
| Chase points to transfer | 51,000 Chase points | 39,000 Chase points (becomes 50,700 Avios) |
| Taxes and fees | €120.06 (about $134) | €120.06 (about $134) |
The bonus saves you 12,000 Chase points on this one seat. At the 2.05 cents per point TPG’s valuations put on Chase points, that’s about $246 (12,000 times 2.05 cents).
Economy on the same flight priced at 31,250 Avios. With the bonus, that takes 25,000 Chase points instead of 32,000. We searched on November 1, and that business seat will likely be gone by the time you read this. Search your own dates before you move any points.

Tip: transfer straight to the program you’ll book with. For this flight, send Chase points to Iberia Plus, not British Airways, so you skip the step of moving Avios between the two accounts.
How this bonus compares with past ones
Chase has run a 20% or 30% Avios bonus in most years since 2019. Doctor of Credit’s history shows these recent ones:
| When | Bonus | 10,000 Chase points become |
|---|---|---|
| November 2026 | 30% | 13,000 Avios |
| March 2026 | 20% | 12,000 Avios |
| October 2025 | 30% | 13,000 Avios |
| March 2025 | 20% | 12,000 Avios |
| August to September 2023 | 30% | 13,000 Avios |
30% matches the best Chase has offered to Avios. Amex ran its own 30% Avios bonus that ended September 27.
Our take
We’d transfer if you have a specific Iberia or Aer Lingus flight priced and seats are open. The Dallas to Madrid seat shows the math: 39,000 Chase points plus about $134 for a lie-flat seat across the Atlantic. At 2.05 cents per Chase point, those 39,000 points are worth about $800 if you used them elsewhere.
Book carefully if you’re looking at British Airways’ own flights. BA adds large carrier-imposed surcharges (extra fees the airline charges on top of taxes) to its long-haul awards. Iberia charged €120.06 on the Madrid flight. Check the cash total on the booking page before you transfer, not only the Avios price. Our Avios award calendar guide shows how to scan a month of Iberia and BA seats at once.
Skip it if you don’t have a trip in mind. Chase has offered an Avios bonus in most years since 2019, and points sitting in Chase can still go to Hyatt, United or Aeroplan later. Avios in an Iberia account can only buy Avios awards. If you’re new to transfer bonuses, our transfer bonus guide explains how to judge one before you move points.
